Ancient Roman silver finger ring dating to the 4th - 5th century AD. It has a plain oval bezel, decorated with five simple ring-and-dot motifs.

Votive ring and dots patterns like this were symbolic of Gods and Goddesses.  Even numbers being for Goddesses and Odd numbers for Gods.  Five dots are symbolic of the Roman God Mars.  

Professionally cleaned for today's market making this ring suitable for contemporary wear if one so chooses!
