Roman Ring.  Gold in the shape of a tablet with handles - Tabula Ansata. Circa  1st to 3rd CENTURY A.D.

Given to newborn babies in the Roman Empire to bring luck and good fortune.  Would fit a very small ladies finger or could be worn on a chain around the neck.

Small US Size O -UK Size .5 int. diam 13.70 mm at the widest point because it is ovoid but will only fit US and UK Sizes stated.
