Authentic Ancient Celtic Ring in Bronze with zigzag pattern.  Circa 450 BC - 50 BC. Over 2,000 years old!  Unearthed in Noricum (modern Austria) together with item ref 2452b.  Noricum, region of Europe north of what is now Italy, roughly comprising modern central Austria and parts of Bavaria, Ger. Noricum was originally a kingdom controlled by a Celtic confederacy that dominated an earlier Illyrian population. Around 400 BC, Celtic peoples from Western Europe settled in the eastern Alps. A Celtic state, Noricum, developed around the region's ironworks in the second century BC. The Romans occupied Noricum without resistance in 9 B.C. and made the Danube River the effective northern frontier of their empire.

This item and 2452b were found together and would make excellent His and Hers Wedding or Engagement Rings.
